The Change

Written by Ruqaiya Baloch

When we talk about change, we get many inspiring ideas, but afraid to share. When we see something wrong we start a debates to make it right, but when we talk about the change we will get no response, on the other hand people used to call us over emotional.  Sometimes I feel sorry for being a part of this culture. Where crimes get high lights every single minute but the good deed never get noticed.  As Michelle Obama Said “You may not always have a comfortable life and you will not always be able to solve all of the world's problems at once but don't ever underestimate the importance you can have because history has shown us that courage can be contagious and hope can take on a life of its own.”
Going back to 2005, I Was in School in my senior year, I promised to do something good for my country, something that can change the negative and conservative thoughts, which my beloved country is suffering from for many years. As time passes, I grow up, the ambition got stronger I saw few people who try to take the right steps.
We belong to Pakistan an Islamic country full of hope. It is an independent country but still we are following that Society of sacrifices, where we are the victims of crimes where we are sacrificing our education our ambitions and goals for nothing.

I don’t want to be the part of it I want to follow my dreams of change. But the question is what to do? Where to start?  Going back to last year, December 2014, I got the chance to be a part of the Scouts Youth Council. In this council I’m surrounded by my friends, where we all hide the cruel truth of our society, because we know we are the part of the change we are the hope. Here one of our goals is to show the positive image of our country to the world and as far as I know my journey has just begun.
